Post event report:

8 riders gathered at Silver Park on a morning with clear sunny sky and pleasant temperature to ride the Bitterroot Trail to South Hills Trail and around the UM Campus to return via the Milwaukee Trail. With one signalized crossing of Hwy 93 and a short stretch of Miller Creek Rd. that can be a challenge especially the left turn off of Miller Creek Rd onto Briggs. The rest of the route is either shared use trail or residential streets in Missoula.

Pre-ride information:

Given the current long range weather forecast, Tuesday, 6/13, looks to be a good day for another morning ride as the afternoon temperature is forecast to reach 80. Any cancellation/postponement will be posted here and a cancellation email will be sent out not later than 5:00 PM the day before the ride, Monday 6/12, to all who have RSVP'd.

We will decide on a route as we gather. I will be at Silver Park by 9:45 to begin check-in of the riders for this ride. We will try to leave Silver Park as soon after 10:00 AM as possible. To accommodate our retired riders who want to enjoy a slow paced ride we will be riding at a pace comfortable for our slowest riders. No one will be left behind. 

While this ride is targeted towards UM Retirees, it is open to all MBC members. Please remember that these will be slow to moderate pace and minimal elevation change. Please RSVP if you’re considering joining the ride so that you will be provided the leader's contact information and can be informed of any late-breaking changes (e.g., weather-related cancellation).
