MBC-UMRA Ride 10/10/2023 Lunch @ Lolo Peak Brewery

Lunch at Lolo Peak Brewery post ride report:

6 riders gathered at Southgate Mall at 10:00 AM at the intersection of Mary St. and the Bitterroot Trail for a cool and partly cloudy morning ride south on the Bitterroot Trail to Lolo for lunch at the Lolo Peak Brewery. While the weather was cool the rain held off until we were having lunch at LPB. The rain did stop just as we were finishing lunch so we had a moderately sunny return ride to Missoula.

Welcome to a 2023 MBC-UMRA Celebration ride

Given the current long range weather forecast, Tuesday, 10/10, with a high of 64 and 24% likelihood of precipitation, this should be a good day to celebrate a successful riding season for this Tuesday MBC riding group. I am suggesting gathering at Southgate Mall at the intersection of the Bitterroot Trail and Mary Ave and riding to Lolo Peak Brewery for a no-host lunch. Understanding that this ride includes a couple of significant hills, we will pay particular attention to everyone's capabilities. I would also encourage anyone who has ridden with our Tuesday group and is not comfortable with the trail to Lolo and back to meet us at Lolo Peak Brewery for the no-host lunch between 11:15 and 11:30 using any appropriate transportation.

Any cancellation/postponement will be posted here and a cancellation email will be sent out not later than 5:00 PM the day before the ride, Monday 10/9, to all who have RSVP'd. Please RSVP as early as possible so that the leader can notify LPB if we have a large group to serve. If you plan to drive to LPB please add a comment to your RSVP so we know not to look for you at Southgate Mall.

While this ride is targeted towards UM Retirees, it is open to all MBC members. Please remember that this will be a slow to moderate pace with the potential of significant hills to climb and descend. Please RSVP if you’re considering joining the ride so that you will be provided the leader's contact information and can be informed of any late-breaking changes (e.g., weather or smoke related cancellation).
