Post event report:

7 riders gathered at Silver Park for an exploratory ride of some of the designated Neighborhood Greenways of Missoula. The route followed did not totally match up to that shown in the map provided. Due to construction and classes now ongoing on the UM Campus we avoided that section by turning north from Kent onto Maurice then left onto Evans Ave to Arthur north to University Ave. and follow the map below through the residential neighborhoods to Gerald, a designated Greenway, to 4th St. and west to Chestnut, north to 3rd, west to Hickory and north to return to Silver Park. This morning was a moderate though cool beginning with gusting winds from various directions. Several riders were pleased to see some areas of Missoula that they have not visited previously. A friendly and comfortable ride for all. If the map does not appear below please use this link to view the map. 5 riders returned to Silver Park with others dropping off at their desired locations.

Welcome to Autumn 2023 MBC-UMRA rides

Given the current long range weather forecast, Tuesday, 10/17, with a high of 61, this should be a good day to continue our afternoon rides. With that indication of probable temperature we will gather for a ride at 1:30 PM at Silver Park. Any cancellation/postponement will be posted here and a cancellation email will be sent out not later than 11:00 AM the day of the ride, Tuesday 10/17, to all who have RSVP'd.

Please note that, due to local traffic concerns, I have limited this ride to 12 riders including the leader. Please RSVP to verify that there are still openings in the 12 positions.

At the time of posting I have received several requests for a repeat of the "MBC - UMRA Neighborhood Greenways Exploration" and am opting to comply with this request for this cool autumnal afternoon. See the map below or map at this link.

While this ride is targeted towards UM Retirees, it is open to all MBC members. Please remember that this will be a slow to moderate pace with multiple stops. Please RSVP if you’re considering joining the ride so that you will be provided the leader's contact information and can be informed of any late-breaking changes (e.g., weather or smoke related cancellation).
